A romantic honeymoon in Italy

WE
ITALY

We have never been to Europe and after much thought we have decided to get past our jilted nerves and start our married life out with a big adventure!

First Stop: Milan

This is going to very different from Santa Cruz!

Molto Bene!

Next stop the Cinque Terre:
Could not be more excited by this!
We will most likely be staying in La Spezia and then taking the bus/hiking into the surrounding cities of the Cinque Terre.

The most fantasy-fulfilling stretch of the fabled Riviera lies not in France, but just across the border in Italy between Genoa and Pisa.

The Cinque Terre (CHINK-weh TAY-reh, which means "five lands") is a series of villages clinging to a remote stretch of the Riviera coastline. Each town is a variation on the same theme: a pastel jumble of homes crouching in a gully like crusty sea creatures in a tide pool, undisturbed by traffic or modern development.

Then :Siena!

SIENA: Surrounded by olive groves and the vineyards of Chianti, Siena is one of the most beautiful cities of Tuscany. Set on three hills, the city is drawn together by winding alleyways and steep steps, whilst the Piazza del Campo stands at its heart, and the Duomo and St Maria della Scala serve as additional cultural landmarks. Famed for the "Palio", the annual historic horse-races that take place on 2 July and 16 August, it is also home to one of the oldest Universities in Europe, which ensures a vibrant Italian student atmosphere throughout the academic year. In addition to the bustling daily life of the streets and squares of the city, Siena offers many cultural events, concerts, cinema, theatre and a wide range of sporting activities.

Yay!
We will be spending a majority of our time here walking, relaxing, and living the romantic life :)
Much Thanks to Brian & Kristine for the recommendation!

And we will be ending our stay in Rome:

A.K.A : la città bella di Roma!

It's going to be very hard to leave this place.

So excited!!!!

To Mendo with love

The Bench

Our Tower
It has been nearly three months since our engagement and the time is already flying by! We are both very excited and extremely inspired. So many ideas and so much fun to be had with the whole creative process! Every one of our family members and friends has been soooo enthusiastic and that just makes us even more so! This is going to be the best adventure for us and we are so lucky to have such an amazing group of people behind us. We hope to set the tone for the rest of our lives together as this, an adventure. To better ourselves and to support each other in all of our indeavors, to create, to love, and have a blast as much as possible ;)

Well, as promised here are some of the pictures of where the question was popped! On a bench overlooking the ocean on the most beautiful day I have ever seen in Mendocino county. We took a little stroll to the cliffs and there was one solitary bench waiting for us. We sat (at this point I noticed Josh was acting a bit antsy BUT we did just spend 4 hours in a car with him behind the wheel on some of the windiest roads amaginable) so I thought nothing of it and enjoyed the view.........Him:"I have a question for you". Me: "What's that?" at this point I turn around and he has a small black box....with a ring in it opened by has shaky hands. Him: "will you marry me?".
Me: "Holy!.......are your serious?!?". Him: "yep"(nervously). Me, while tearing up like the girl that cries over everything (which I'm not): "Yes!". This was proceded by a feeling of what I would call "giddy shock". When something so awesome has happened you just can't help but giggle and do a little dance on the spot, shed some more tears and hug the heck out of Josh and then ask him to pinch you because this is just too good to be true.......

Well, it isn't ;)

The love of my life. I can look at that smile and be happy always.
